Hello I'm Ralph Magee, Jr. You may know me on several fishing forums as {b8itup}. In addition, some of you may know me as a previous moderator on a top 100 catfish website named Katmasters. I've created this site with the goal of being better. I hope to attract the very best fisherman in Virginia's Tidal waterways.
In 2009, I became a USCG Captain and started promoting a fishing guide service. I can be found on the web at Virginiatidalrivers.com.
In real life...I'm a husband and father of two. I was born, raised and now reside in Hanover County. Since graduating from Randolph-Macon College in 1995, I've worked for some of the largest financial institutions in our country. Until 2008, I was a preferred stock trader for Wachovia Securities in Richmond Virgina. When the firm decided to move its headquarter to St. Louis, MO I was offered my job, but I decided to remain here. Since I've done consultant work for several different departments of Wells Fargo Advisors.
This forum and the information I hope you find on it is a big reason for me wanting to stay. I absolutely love where I live and the outstanding fishing we have in our state. I look forward to sharing information with you and I sincerely hope to fish with each of you soon.

Hey B8itup! I am thrilled to have a spot to go and get up to date info about what is happening on the water. I look forward to reacquainting with guys that used to frequent the site mentioned above, and meeting new members. It looks like you are off to a great start here...now we just need to start populating threads with pics of big bass, big cats, and whatever we can get to bite a hook :-). See you on the water soon.
