The first Pamunkey Mini Series Tournament has been cancelled because of terrible conditions at Williams Landing. The snow/ice melt has really left the landing in need of some serious attention, not to mention the private road leading to it...
So instead I'm headed out on the James to check out water temps and the bass action out there. Fishing tomorrow with another Pamunkey Mini Series participant. Maybe we can pattern something for the James tournament in 2 weeks.

Got to deep bottom this morning around 6:30. Lots of catfish guys putting in for a fun day. I got to see Redcat and an old Katmaster forum friend BigCatTracker. Hope these guys got on some fish.
We headed up river into the hotwater discharge pit. Why? Main River channel was 40 degrees and we found some 60 degree water towards the back.
Had a good day and would have brought a nice bag of fish to the scales. Only bad thing is we lost a couple of REALLY nice fish during the day. All in all a great time.
